"Gramps you cannot take Carly," Spencer said a smug look on his face.

"Spencer I told you," Gramps said, "You're not responsible enough to raise your sister."

"If Carly were my sister," Spencer said, "You would have something to go on. You know the truth."

"Oh Spencer," Gramps said, "You're not going to play that card are you?"

"What's the truth," Carly asked.

"Carly," Spencer said, "You know I was fourteen when you were born right?"

"Yes," Carly said, "mom said it was a miracle."

"You are a miracle but you're not mom's child. Your mother's real name-"

"Spencer no," Gramps begged.

"Your mother's real name is Samantha O'conner… and I'm actually your father."

Carly looked like she had just been shocked.

"Wait… what," she asked.

"Spencer enough," Gramps said.

"Carly there were complications when you were born. Your mother bled out. She died giving birth to you."

"B-but you love me," Carly said.

"I didn't think I would," Spencer acknowledged, "I thought I would hate you. You were the one… the reason my girlfriend died."

"I'm so sorry-"

"No," Spencer said, "From the minute I saw you… from the minute I held you I knew it wasn't your fault. You were a gift from GOD. GOD took one angel and gave me another one. But I knew I couldn't raise you. I was too young. I was too immature. Mom and dad and gramps and I talked about it and the best solution was for mom and dad to raise you as their own."

"I cannot believe you played that card," Gramps said.

"Well believe it," Spencer replied, "Look I'm not perfect. I have made mistakes. But I have love you from the moment you came into this world and I will love you beyond the time I leave it. "

Gramps sighed in disgust and walked away muttering something about how selfish Spencer was.
